Choosing an iced coffee glass by the ice
Ice takes up a third of most iced coffees, so the glass you want is bigger than the coffee you pour. A 12 oz cold brew over a handful of cubes fills our 13 oz glass to the rim. The same coffee with a full glass of ice wants the 17 oz. If you drink it slowly and top up with milk, the tall glass at 20 or 23 oz gives you the room.
All four take a glass straw through the lid, and you can see every layer through the side, which is half the point of an iced latte. Wash the straw with the brush right after a milky drink, and let a glass that held something hot cool down before ice goes in.
You can buy each of these, part of the BLUEPOLAR collection, at the price of the last catalog update.
A glass you keep and refill is the point: the EPA lists reusable glasses among the ways to cut plastic waste, and the CDC suggests carrying water with you in a reusable bottle.
Questions
Questions about the BLUEPOLAR iced coffee glasses
Which BLUEPOLAR iced coffee glass holds your usual order?
Twelve ounces of cold brew and a few cubes go in the 13 oz glass. A glass packed with ice, or a lot of milk on top, wants the 17 oz or the tall glass.
Can you pour hot coffee into a BLUEPOLAR iced coffee glass?
Warm drinks are fine. The trouble is a sudden change. Do not pour boiling water into a cold glass or add ice to a hot one. For hot coffee on the go, our 16 oz insulated tumbler is the better choice.
Do BLUEPOLAR iced coffee glasses come with a straw?
Yes. Every glass ships with a glass straw, and the 17 oz glass adds a second glass straw, a wide plastic straw and a brush.
